Utility companies taking precautions for G-20 summit‎

Alcosan and Duquesne Light are taking precautions to prevent an attack of their computer systems during the upcoming G-20 summit that could potentially disrupt services thousand of people living the area.

Alcosan and Duquesne Light are reviewing their cyber security procedures to preare for the summit.

Some security experts believe the focus on the major world leaders meeting in Pittsburgh will make the area’s most important computer systems susceptible to hackers.

The Secret Service is reviewing all cyber security plans for the G-20 summit.

The Department of Homeland Security predicts cyber attacks will be used as a common weapon by “left wing extreme groups” in the next 10 years. This summit provides an opportunity for protesters to cause problems in cyberspace.
