If you haven't heard, all of the speakers INVITED to the "We The People" Fest in Los Angeles this past Saturday, 9.27.08 WERE CENSORED BY AUTHORITIES IN LA

(This included Myself - Jack Blood, Anti War Icon and Congressional Candidate Cindy Sheehan, and Green Party Presidential Candidate and former Congresswoman (GA) Cynthia McKinney.)

The event was besieged with problems beginning just a few weeks before the scheduled event at the Los Angeles State Historic Park located just south of Downtown LA.

The event organizers were put under an enormous amount of pressure after certain political entities became abusive over the event artwork, and the choice of speakers to attend. The police were "concerned" that a riot could ensue if we spoke to the 5,000 plus crowd. (Many more would've been at the event which could hold 20,000 if the police did not block the entrance after they decided too many people were gathered together with "anti - government" opinions.) What happened to the First Amendment????

I was about to speak before Suicidal Tendencies - just after Fishbone when I was pulled off stage and told that the cops would shut down the event if I was allowed to go on stage. (I had planned to bring Dylan Avery from "Loose Change" on stage with me)
ST had really fired up the crowd, and then were besieged by "technical problems"

Later,Cindy Sheehan was told that she could introduce Tom Morello (Rage against the Machine) but would NOT be allowed to address the crowd. She refused the "offer".

Cynthia McKinney was warned ahead of time that she would not be allowed to take the stage and did not attend the event.

Shavarsh "Shavo" Odadjian (System of a Down) also did not attend the event as scheduled, and I assumed this was because of the nature of what was (not) happening.

The event organizers, in my opinion, could have done a better job standing up to the authorities, but should not be blamed at this time. (I will reserve judgment) If the concert was shut down it certainly would've resulted in a full scale riot, which might have been the goal all along. In attendance were hundreds of small children who would have been caught in an extremely violent situation.

The censorship came from several source points.

1) The Mayor of LA: Antonio Villaraigosa who is a major Obama supporter, and who had wanted to speak from the main stage earlier in the day, on the contingency that the 3 scheduled speakers not be allowed to take the main stage. It appears that all orders carried out by local police were directed from the Mayor's office. (Who was giving orders to the State Police?)

2) Rock the Vote: We heard that they had booked most of the bands, and were displeased by the "anti establishment" "anti Obama" rhetoric previously displayed by the 3 speakers. (OK I am Guilty)

3) The Obama campaign: Who had somehow co-opted the event. There were several Obama and anti McCain booths at the event, and after the speakers were censored, the entire event turned into an Obama rally.
The question is, did the Obama campaign recruit the Mayor (and the Staters) to stop the 3 speakers who would oppose their candidate, and reveal that neither the Demopublicans, nor Republicrats were coming to save us.

4) Every speaker scheduled to speak were also 911 Truth supporters, and we can assume that certain people in positions of power did not want us to detail
the high crimes and treason perpetrated by the guilty.

What we have learned is just how far the establishment will go to shut down the TRUTH! In the future we might leave our children at home so that we can respond in such a way that the authorities will understand that WE ARE MAD AS HELL AND WERE NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE!

Yep.

Cindy Sheehan, Cynthia McKinney and Jack Blood were prohibited from speaking at
WTP Fest in Los Angeles today. The event had been heavily promoted in LA by KROQ FM, and the LA Weekly etc….
I was on the main stage, ready to go on just after Fishbone and just before Suicidal Tendencies…about 7 PM 9.27.08
Dylan Avery was with me and I had planned to give him some time during my speech.

I was pulled from the stage, and told that if I spoke the local, state, and (agenda 21) police would shut down the gig. (We had about 8,000 people by then)

At this time I believe that the Mayor of Los Angeles made the call to stop us from speaking. (Earlier in the day he had asked to speak at the event, but only under the condition that the Three of us not speak on the main stage. I heard that the organizers told him no.) I interviewed several people who told us that “Political Pressure” had intervened to stop us from speaking.

We have much more on this, and will report the story on the Tuesday Edition of Deadline live.

None of the speakers were allowed to speak by nights end.

This all might have come down due to the massive Obama presence at the event.

One hour before the final presidential debate of the 2008 campaign, fourteen members of IVAW marched in formation to Hofstra University to present questions for the candidates. IVAW had requested permission from debate moderator Bob Schieffer to ask their questions during the debate but got no response.




	Segment on the protest aired on Democracy Now!

The contingent of veterans in dress uniforms and combat uniforms attempted to enter the building where the debate was to be held in order to ask their questions but were turned back by police. The IVAW members at the front of the formation were immediately arrested, and others were pushed back into the crowd by police on horseback. Several members were injured, including former Army Sergeant Nick Morgan who suffered a broken cheekbone when he was trampled by police horses before being arrested.

“Neither of the candidates have shown real support for soldiers and veterans. We came here to try and get serious questions answered, questions that we as veterans of the Iraq war, have a right to ask, but instead we were arrested. We will continue to ask these questions no matter who is elected. We believe that the time has come to end this war and bring our troops home, and we will be pushing for that no matter what happens in this election.” said Jason Lemieux, a former Sergeant in the US Marine Corps and member of IVAW who served three tours in Iraq.

A total of 10 veterans were arrested during the action, including Matthis Chiroux, Kristopher Goldsmith, Adam Kokesh, Mike Spinato, Geoff Millard, Marlisa Grogan, Nathan Peld, Nick Morgan, James Gilligan and Jose Vasquez.

We need to call the NY police department and ask them why they would trample IRAQ WAR VETERANS exercising their FREEDOM SPEECH in a peaceful manner. Is this the way members of the military who don the uniform and make an oath to defend the constitution, America, and it’s people are treated? We MUST NOT ONLY hold the Police Department accountable but the Presidential Candidates as well for allowing this to happen. THIS IS NOT DEMOCRACY, THIS IS A POLICE STATE.

Overly aggressive campaign workers are being reported in Central Ohio - and one voter says a campaign worker stepped way over the line.

Dear Rainbow Family Gathering Participates:

As a result of a number of press articles regarding conflicts at the 2008 Rainbow Family Gathering in Wyoming the Wyoming Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union requested complaints, narratives or reports regarding individuals experiences at The Gathering. We were particularly interested in a conflict that occurred in “kiddy village”. Kiddy village is an area set-aside for those participants that have children and is particularly directed to children’s experience.

There are no official Rainbow Family representatives, documents or incorporations. It is my understanding they have been gathering since the 1970’s and generally believe in non-violence and alternative lifestyles. They gather once a year in national forests to pray for the planet and for peace.

One of the United States Forest Service’s (USFS) press releases regarding the 2008 Rainbow Family Gathering stated that “about 400” Rainbow Family members surrounded a squad of officers trying to leave the “kiddy village” area after an arrest. The press release also stated that Rainbow Family members threw sticks and rocks at federal officers. Both the USFS and the Rainbow family agree the incident started when officers arrested a family member for an alleged drug offense.

The accounts of the experiences of individuals at this years gathering came from a number of sources: many of the reporters were long time Rainbow Family members and participants, some were casual or first time attendees and others Wyoming residents that just wanted to see “what was going on.” Among our reporters were doctors, lawyers, National Guard members, a nurse, and a retired carpenter from Lander. One of the telling items in all of the reporting was how similar the experiences were. The similarities maintained=0 Adespite the date, time, number of people reporting, age, or place of occurrence. These similarities in experiences and allegations provided an added element of validity to the reporting.

The USFS has stated that they are simply at the gatherings to “handle the perimeter” and to deal with “specific problems”. The reality of their presence seems very different however.

Velvet Revolution Calls on John McCain to Fire Michael Connell for Covering Up for Karl Rove in Federal Election Manipulation Lawsuit

WASHINGTON, Oct 07, 2008 /PRNewswire-USNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Velvet Revolution ("VR"), a non-profit dedicated to clean and accountable government, today calls for Republican candidate John McCain to fire computer expert Michael Connell from his campaign for covering up alleged election manipulations of Karl Rove and others. Mr. Connell, the GOP's top computer expert, was subpoenaed based on a September 19th court order to testify under oath in an Ohio federal lawsuit looking into serious allegations that Mr. Rove has directed a strategy to illegally manipulate elections through the use of computer technology. Rather than cooperate in the investigation, Mr. Connell hired attorneys close to the Bush/Cheney Administration and refused to appear for the deposition arguing client (GOP) confidentiality. Those attorneys have said that they will do everything possible to keep Mr. Connell from testifying before the November general election.

Mr. Connell's refusal to comply with a federal subpoena looking into credible evidence that the upcoming presidential election will be manipulated is at odds with John McCain's promise to run a clean campaign. Another GOP cyber security expert, Stephen Spoonamore, has stated that Mr. Connell has vast experience and knowledge of the GOP computer networks at issue in the federal lawsuit. Mr. Connell has admitted to Mr. Spoonamore "that in his zeal to 'save the unborn' he may have helped others who have compromised elections."

Cliff Arnebeck, the Ohio election attorney who issued the subpoena, said Friday that he is aggressively moving to enforce the subpoena. "Mr. Connell has information about how the votes are tabulated in key states in the upcoming election. In order to ensure that the election is fair and accurate, Mr. Connell needs to testify under oath and pursuant to a lawful subpoena about how these votes are tabulated, whether the tabulation will be compromised and whether anyone has directed him to compromise those tabulations."

According to federal filings, Mr. Connell is working for John McCain to help him win the election. VR believes that unless Mr. Connell testifies under oath about his apparent knowledge of election manipulations, Mr. McCain should fire him. If he does not, the McCain campaign will appear to be in league with Mr. Connell to cover up criminal conduct and engaging in election tampering. This will call into question the results of the November election and again cast a shadow over our election process.

WASHINGTON, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The GOP's top computer expert, Michael Connell, CEO of GovTech Solutions, was subpoenaed on September 22nd to testify under oath in a federal lawsuit in Ohio regarding his knowledge of election rigging and vote manipulation in past elections and the upcoming election. Mr. Connell, using the Karl Rove playbook, immediately moved to quash the subpoena and stated that he would not comply because he needs to maintain the confidentiality of his Republican clients. Cliff Arnebeck, the attorney representing the opposing parties, says that he will quickly move to "enforce the subpoena."

Michael Connell, after hiding under the radar for almost two decades as the GOP's secret IT weapon for manipulating elections, has now been thrust into the limelight by other GOP whistleblowers, most notably world renowned cyber-security expert Stephen Spoonamore, who identified Mr. Connell as the person with the most intimate knowledge of GOP computer networks including those in the White House and Congress. Mr. Connell, who has worked for the Bush political network since 1986, has been at the scene of virtually every electoral scandal of the past decade -- running Florida computers during the 2000 election and Ohio election computers during the 2004 election, helping to create Swift Boat Veterans for Truth IT network, putting his computer servers in control of the most sensitive Congressional IT networks, and setting up Karl Rove's off grid White House email system used in the firing of the US Attorneys for political purposes.

Our whistleblowers have implicated Mr. Connell in the destruction of the White House emails. Mr. Connell's former employee, David Almacy, worked as the White House Internet and E-Communications Director during the time those emails were "lost." Apparently, Mr. Connell knows where those lost emails are and how and why they were destroyed.

On Monday, Attorney General Mukasey appointed a special prosecutor to investigate the political firings of US Attorneys who would not do the bidding of the White House. We believe that the Attorney General should also appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the conduct, actions and knowledge of Michael Connell and his confidential work for Karl Rove and George Bush. We also believe that Members of Congress should hold hearings and place Mr. Connell under oath to testify about election rigging, destruction of White House emails, and spying on Congress.
