Army Sgt. Erik Roberts underwent a 13th surgery recently to save his right leg from amputation. He was shocked when he got a bill for $3,000 for his subsequent antibiotic treatment. "I just thought it was bull---- that I'm getting billed for being wounded in Iraq doing my job," he said. Within hours after CNN began asking questions, the Department of Veterans Affairs agreed to pay for the out-of-system treatment. full story
